Migration Monday Feature: May the 4th Be With You

Each spring, millions of migratory birds travel along the Central Flyway, making Aransas County one of the most rewarding places in Texas to experience bird migration. This season, Aransas Pathways invites residents and visitors alike to celebrate Migration Monday with a timely opportunity for birding enthusiasts.

In partnership with a global initiative led by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, a limited-time giveaway is now open to nature lovers across the United States and Canada. Participants have the chance to win a pair of ZEISS Terra ED binoculars, a high-quality tool designed to enhance birdwatching experiences in both casual and field settings.

This initiative encourages individuals of all experience levels to step outdoors, observe local birdlife, and engage in the broader movement of bird conservation and citizen science. From coastal marshes and oak mottes to community trails and sanctuaries, Aransas County offers diverse habitats that support a wide range of migratory species during this peak season.

Participation in the giveaway is simple and accessible. Individuals may enter by submitting their email address through the official registration form. No donation is required.
